No Nevada Residency Requirement For An Annulment
Anyone who was married in Nevada can file for an annulment in Nevada; neither person has to be a Nevada resident (a Nevada resident can also file for an annulment here regardless of where the marriage took place).
A Nevada divorce, on the other hand, can only be granted to a Nevada resident.
Grounds
Divorce can be granted because of incompatibility.
The reasons for an annulment are:
- Spouses are closer than 2nd cousins
- One person was already married
- 17 year old married without parental consent (with a couple of limitations)
- Want of Understanding
- Fraud
